While December and January are the most popular months for remote workers and digital nomads in Cape Town, we believe they may not necessarily offer the best experience. In those months the city is packed with tourists from around the world, and in January, South Africa experiences a month-long holiday period, which leads to overcrowding. Prices skyrocket, and restaurant reservations become a challenge to secure.
Our favourite months for remote work in Cape Town are October, November, early December, February, and March. In October and April the weather is really pleasant, just a bit cooler and with some rainfall. September and May are colder, but can have sunny days, which are perfect for hiking and other outdoor activities. The winter season spans June, July, and August.
