Once your application is approved, you’ll receive a link to subscribe for a membership. After you’ve completed your first monthly payment, you’ll gain access to our online platform. Create your profile and download our app to stay updated on meetups, activities, and events, and connect with other members.

As a member, you can join free daily activities such as sports classes, hikes, and organized meetups like braais and morning dips in a tidal pool. Additionally, you can book activities and events, and enjoy exclusive discounts. 

On the Bumbuntu platform you can also find all valuable Cape Town related information, including our favorite restaurants, visa extension tips, and a detailed agenda featuring all exciting events, concerts, and festivities happening in Cape Town.

The Bumbuntu membership costs €30 per month, paid monthly. This payment includes a 10% donation to the Ukhanyo Foundation. If you’re a permanent resident of South Africa, your monthly fee is €19 (that’s around R400). Don’t let finances stand in the way of joining the community – if you’re tight on funds, shoot us an email! We’re always on the lookout for cheerful souls to host our meetups and events.

You can cancel your membership anytime to stop any future payments. No commitments. If you in your first month and you don’t like it you can let us know within 7 days and we will give back your money. 

Most of the activities and events are only for Bumbuntu members. Around once or twice a month, we organize events that are open to everyone. We allow people from outside of the community to join – at a higher price than Bumbuntu members. Check here the upcoming schedule.
